New Year, New Beginnings

New year, New beginnings.

When I started Magnolia Media in 2014 I had no idea of what an incredible journey was ahead. I just knew my clients had grown beyond my capabilities as a contractor and that it was time to create a marketing agency focused on great storytelling – so I did it, scared. And how I loved it.

Over the last 9 years I’ve had the privilege of working with incredible nonprofit leaders and organizations making a huge impact on our communities. I’ve also had the privilege of building a team I am proud of in so many ways. From contractors like Sarah, who was integral in helping MMG grow and improve; to Elizabeth who loved our clients well; to Ashley, who has become an even dearer friend through working with us; to the amazing photographers, videographers, web designers/developers and graphic designers – I’ve been surrounded by talented creatives who have the biggest hearts.

I’ll never forget the first time I ran payroll and how scary it felt to hit “process payroll”. But that was another milestone that has brought MMG to where it is today. Hiring full-time employees who I hand picked and then helped develop into the leaders they are today has been one of my favorite parts of owning a marketing agency.

So when in May of this year I began thinking and praying about what’s next for me and what’s next for MMG, over the course of several months it became clear. It was time for me to do something else and time for someone else to own MMG. Nothing bad had happened, as some might think. It was literally a realization that it was time for me to start a new chapter in my career.

Today, I am proud to announce that Brooke Hoffman and Carlie McMann are the new co-owners of MMG. These two women are smart, talented, driven and have the same desire to help our community that has made MMG what it is.

Letting go of something you’ve created isn’t easy, but the moment I thought of asking them if they would want to own MMG, I knew it was the right choice, and that has made all the difference.

To our clients and friends, thank you for making a life-long impact on me. I am a better person, communications professional, storyteller and leader because of you all. I’m excited for what’s in store for MMG and can’t wait to see how Brooke and Carlie build it into something even better!

Gratefully,

Heather Loveridge
