The Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia created a Coronavirus Relief Fund in March 2020, with the goal of helping raise funds that would be granted out quickly and strategically to local nonprofits. We created messaging and graphics around the fund and the dollars began coming in. In April, CEO and President Randy Redner wanted to see if the Community Foundation could raise a large amount online. He set a big goal of raising $100,000 and we began planning the campaign. We created the theme of “$100k in 7 Days” and designed graphics and copy to go with it. Our strategy included eblasts, social media, website updates and social ads.
At the end of seven days, the Community Foundation had surpassed their goal and raised $115,565! We created a TY follow up campaign and reached out to grant winners for photos and quotes.
